2010 – a year to remember

Outstanding growth in 2010

We’d like to thank our supporting intermediary network who helped us grow during 2010.
Your feedback on our personalised service, as well as effective and speedy claims settlements, have been very positive and assists greatly in enhancing our reputation as being a worthy partner in your business.

More branches, better service

We welcome Territory and FNQ brokers to the Global Transport network – we opened offices in Darwin and Townsville and offer the same level of commitment and unparalleled service.
GT now has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin and Townsville. Tassie brokers are capably serviced by our Development Manager, Steve Pearson, based in Melbourne.

Global goes Kiwi

Our NZ friends at Motor and General Underwriting Agency became part of the Global Transport and Automotive Insurance solutions family. They offer a similar range of transport insurance products as GT in Australia.

The new online face of Global

In August, we launched our new website, making it easy and quick for brokers to get access to documentation and information – all now at your fingertips. Click here to go to the home page and start exploring.

Brokers and GT shake hands nationally

The Steadfast conference in March 2010 was a great forum for Global staff to meet you personally and we were received with an exuberant reception from member brokers – thank you to all. GT was there for the first time and we supported Steadfast as silver sponsors.
Many of you who attended the NIBA conference on the Gold Coast last October would have shared a coldie and a yarn or two with us at our trade exhibition stand.

GT responds to disasters around the country

Whoever would have guessed that 2011 would open the doors to managing such tragedies as witnessed in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia?
GT has been quick to react for the benefit of our insured parties and claims reserves set for the line of catastrophes between December and February which now exceed $6M.
GT stands by its a claims promise and we are doing just that with the current disasters! We are publishing this again in this bulletin, to reinforce our commitment.
