Transport & Logistics Web Resource Goes Live

The NSW Department of Transport has joined a national website for the transport and logistics industry.

The Logistics Information Navigation Centre – LINC – is a national web-based resource providing information about these most important industries.

The website covers all 4 modes of transport – Road / Rail / Air / Sea – and has links to state & federal regulations and legislations.

The re-launched site now includes a specific NSW component that can be accessed by visiting:

www.the-linc.com.au/new_south_wales

The website provides information on transport and logistics across Australia, including job opportunities, fact sheets, statistics and regulations. People looking for employment in the transport and logistics sector can investigate jobs and plan a career pathway into the industry.

NSW joins South Aust, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Aust in having successfully launched their respective state components of the website, making it a truly national industry program designed to improve access to industry resources & information.

The site can be used to source everything form providing an overview of “services to freight” and “Cold Chain logistics” to state based maps & statistics.

The LINC website will be an important resource for providing industry sector information, assistance in locating service providers and major facilities, and a good source of information on a diverse range of industry topics. The project has been co-ordinated through the South Australian Freight Council (SAFC), which launched the new-look website recently featuring the NSW specific content.
